![]() If you can get a good installation we can snapshot it into an. If you can succeed at compiling from trunk that would be ideal anyway. ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, Lazarus isn't in the ARM repository yet. I can tell you that it is a breeze to set up git/svn/mercurial and all the C compiler tools you need to compile directly from Lazarus repository. Plus, there is no real "install" necessary like your typical "distro". Have you considered all the options? If you want a local compiling environment on the raspberry, and you are going through all the trouble compiling from scratch, why not give the Tinycore ARM port a go? Look at the size of the installation for Rasbian, MUCH larger that TinycoreARM. It seems that Lazarus and FPC for Linux are target more to x86/圆4 than for ARM.Ĭan someone help me where can I download one single bundled of binaries (Lazarus + FPC) that install out of the box (without the need of source compilation) in the same way as the Windows version?Īnother question: is that possible to cross-compile from Windows to Raspbian? I've done cross-compilations many times but between other OSs. Moreover I dont't know where to get Lazarus for Linux ARM. I've tryed to install FPC for Linux ARM, but the installer didn't work. In order to do this simply open a terminal window and type: In the Raspbian OS it is easy to install Lazarus and Free Pascal. In the Free Pascal wiki ( ) I've read this: With Lazarus on Raspberry Pi, but until now I can't. I have no previous experience in Linux (beyound the basics) and I want to develop how can i exec this command at boot (start gui on boot without login) as it's not working as it is.As you know, the Raspberry Pi OS (Raspbian) is a port of Debian to Raspberry.how can i give permission to the kodi user to run startx kodi and select the correct display on local machine (user permissions and Xorg permissions).how to get rid of the "Can't open display" errors and correctly configure Xorg.I think i'm missing something and maybe my problems are with how is configured Xorg or how is not configured at all, so my question is: On the web all the comments are with ssh to the box and advise opening X11 forwarding Note that I don't need X11 forwarding as i want the display to be local, is a HTPC machine. Will grant permissions to that user executed with the root, it dosen't work as xhost is returning the same error running startx kodi from the non login user after su to it is not possible due to permissions so i've seen that using. The conf file is created under /root not in /etc/X11, also Xauthority is in /root. Then run xclock, no luck, same error (root user) Nothing is returned (also with root user). startx kodi is working without any issues from root user.As i want kodi to autostart at boot i've created another non login user to run kodi as i don't want to run kodi on root. To understand the context I've build a tiny passive cooled HTPC with AMD APU with vega Graphics (amdgpu driver) and i want to install kodi/steam client and some dockers, as the only GUI apps will be kodi and steam client (both run in full screen mode) i have installed the console only Debian 10 and Xorg (no windows manager needed as stated above they both run fullscreen). I have some trouble setting up a HTPC with Debian 10 (k5.4) and as i'm not a linux expert i wonder if can anybody help me with some questions.
