![]() The Quartz shade on the bottom row is the prettiest taupey purple, Musk is a cool toned brown loaded with multicolour sparkle and Pearlised is a metallic white with a pinky blue shift. ![]() The first shade on the top row Dusk is a light gold with a dusty texture, Wooden is a cool toned deep brown matte, Paved is a slightly lighter toned deep brown matte, Sunrise is a very chunky yellow gold shimmer and Steel is a beautiful green brown duochrome. The matte black ‘Blackout’ is one of the most blendable, intense matte blacks I’ve tried and Midnight is the most stunning metallic royal blue I’ve ever seen. The four other shades on the top row are massively underwhelming, but the bottom row is the complete opposite – all five shades on the bottom row are amazing. The standout shades are definitely the duochromes Steel (shade 5) and Midnight (shade 9). This palette contains matte, shimmer and duochrome finish eyeshadows. Love this? They really should have put the names on the outer box, and bottom of the palette. You won’t have a clue which shade is which, as the shades are only numbered on the bottom of the palette. ![]() Weirdly, Revolution didn’t print the names on the bottom of the palette so when you’ve binned the box and acetate sheet – which let’s face it, we all do. The Revolution Pro Colour Focus Night and Day Palette comes with an acetate sheet with the names on, and the names are printed on the back of the outer box. Cardboard doesn’t equal luxury for me? For £12 you’d at least expect hard wearing packaging, but you do get a mirror inside the lid. The packaging is nice, with a white, glossy faux snakeskin effect but the palette is cardboard which really surprised me.Ĭonsidering the majority of the Revolution Palettes are £4-6 cheaper than this palette, and packaged in plastic, I never expected their ‘luxury’ palette to be cardboard. The two Colour Focus Palettes are £12 each, contain only ten powder eyeshadows and each eyeshadow contains 1.5 grams of product. Night and Day is a white coloured palette, whereas the Earth and Stone Palette is black. The Revolution Pro Colour Focus Night and Day Eyeshadow Palette is part of a two palette collection. When I spotted the Revolution Pro Colour Focus Night and Day Eyeshadow Palette on Instagram, I knew I had to try it as it looked so unique to anything else in their collection. The Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer is the worst concealer I’ve tried, but on the flip side the Revolution Pro Foundation Drops is one of my favourite foundations of all time. I’ve tried a lot of products from the main Revolution brand, and Revolution Pro and I can’t honestly say the quality is any better and the hike in prices is down to packaging and not formula. Revolution Pro was a rebrand of Makeup Revolution’s Freedom sub-brand, and was created to offer luxurious beauty products at an affordable price. I’ve had a real love / hate relationship with Revolution Pro as a brand.
